Phyllis says... "heal your body...."
This book is dedicated to all patients with pain. My qualification on this
subject arises, not only from my professional experience as a physiotherapist
and an acupuncturist, but also from the fact that I have been a pain sufferer
myself! In CHAPTER 20 you can read about my PERSONAL JOURNEY and how I became
involved in pain management and the work I have done to facilitate it.
Patients' comments...
"I am a 33 year old female and have been sufferering with persistent spasm in my neck.
I have experienced paralysis in the left side of my body and severe pain in my left hand.
After 3 treatments with Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS), I experienced relief
of pain in my hand. So much so that I could live with it and operate almost normally.
The treatment with TENS improved my condition after I endured a year of heavy medication
including daily injections of pethidene."
"Most informative and helpful book on pain that I have ever read".

“What a helpful book! You the patient are unique, so responsibility is placed on you
(the sufferer) to select the most suitable treatment for controlling those factors that
contribute to pain eg stress, poor posture, fear, negativity, lack of exercise, poor eating
habits, lack of sleep, any situation that disturbs us. We are not left in the dark – many
methods are given in this book for us to select from. So! Come on! You are unique:
get on with your selection and remember you can always refer to the author if doubtful
about something. Never give up!”.
